The Digital Leaders are a group of Year 6 children with a passion for technology and a drive to improve their own – and the whole school community’s – understanding of how to stay safe online.
Working with Mr Stewkesbury, the children run poster campaigns, take part in online safety training and deliver assemblies and presentations to the rest of the school.
On top of this, there is a second part to their role: they are tasked with keeping the school website up to date with information about each year group. This involves them speaking to class teachers and children across the school and using technology effectively to share the information they find with Fiona Quinton, who then updates the year groups’ pages on the school website.
